Uncertain About Therapy

Whether you have thought about therapy for a long time, you have been encouraged by someone else, or you know therapy is right for you it takes courage to meet with a new therapist. In honoring that courage, I will start by helping you with the things you are ready to talk about. A healthy skepticism will be welcomed and respected; if you have doubts we can talk about it. Over time what we discuss will expand to include the things you are more hesitant to share. It can also be helpful to start by discussing what makes certain things so hard to talk about. Trust takes time and I appreciate that some people don’t let others in very easily.
